Meta has introduced a new AI image generator called Muse Image, which is automatically enrolling Instagram accounts, allowing users to create AI-generated images using others' photos unless they opt out. This feature, developed by Meta's Superintelligence
Labs, is designed to compete with similar offerings from OpenAI and Google. Public Instagram accounts are automatically opted in, enabling anyone to tag a username and use Muse Image to generate images. Users are not notified when their content is used in this manner.
