What's Happening?
TOMRA Mining has been awarded a contract by Pilgangoora Operations Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of PLS Group Limited (PLS), to supply sensor-based ore sorting equipment for the proposed P2000 Expansion Project at the Pilgangoora Operation in Western Australia.
This contract is part of PLS’ approved pre-Final Investment Decision (pre-FID) early works program for the P2000 Project. The agreement includes the provision of 22 TOMRA XRT ore sorters, specifically secondary and tertiary X-ray sorting units, along with project management services, specialist tooling, packing, and delivery. Engineering and procurement of long-lead equipment will commence immediately, although the P2000 Project's full approval is contingent on a positive Final Investment Decision by PLS. This award builds upon the successful crushing and ore-sorting facility previously implemented at Pilgangoora, which has supported increased throughput, consistent feed, and operational flexibility.
