What's Happening?
Curia Global, Inc., a leading global research, development, and manufacturing organization, has officially opened its expanded campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The $200 million investment added 70,000 square feet to the existing 200,000 square foot
manufacturing facility. This expansion introduces two new isolated filling lines: a VarioSys flexible filling line for syringes, cartridges, and vials, and a high-speed vial line capable of handling 1,000-liter batch sizes and filling up to 400 vials per minute. The facility specializes in aseptic fill-finish and lyophilization services, complemented by automated visual inspection and packaging technologies. The grand opening ceremony was attended by key officials, including John Knox, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller. This project was supported by a cooperative agreement with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and assistance from the State of New Mexico's Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) job creation fund.
