Otty's Hobby Shed 2.0, a wargaming hut built by Chris Otterburn and friends, has been awarded the 2026 Shed of the Year. Located in Lancashire, the shed was designed to accommodate tabletop wargames like Warhammer 40,000 and Middle-earth Strategy Battle
Game. The project was a collaborative effort, using reclaimed and recycled materials, including tabletops from a local pub. The shed features a large open space with oversized tabletops, seating, and a tea and coffee station. It is accessed through a green door inspired by 'Bag End' from The Hobbit. The shed was built to provide a comfortable and spacious environment for gaming sessions, and it honors the memory of a friend who passed away during its construction.
