Maryland Governor Wes Moore's administration has introduced a new, free AI platform called the Maryland Community Compass. This tool is designed to provide entrepreneurs and developers with neighborhood insights, funding resources, and zoning information.
The platform, an expansion of the former Maryland Community Business Compass, was developed in partnership with AI research company Anthropic. It offers a database of 2,600 public and private funding programs and allows users to research specific land parcels to understand potential development opportunities, drawing on place-based incentives, property records, and statewide zoning codes.
