For the athletes, these games provide valuable experience and an opportunity to refine their skills in a competitive environment. The inclusion of an Alumni Game also fosters community and tradition within the program, connecting current players with past generations of Midshipmen. From a broader perspective, the schedule contributes to the visibility of collegiate women's lacrosse, particularly within the Patriot League and the NCAA, by showcasing high-level athletic competition. The team's performance in the fall can set the tone and build momentum for their aspirations in the Patriot League Championship and potential NCAA Tournament bids, following their successful 2025 season where they achieved a program record for wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals.

The games against various opponents will serve as crucial benchmarks for the team's progress. Spectators and fans can anticipate attending these games, particularly the home matches at Rip Miller Turf Field and the annual Alumni Game. The results and observations from the fall schedule will directly influence the team's training regimen and strategic planning for the official 2027 spring season.
