Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) has identified tungsten intervals in 22 historical drill holes at its Nevada Scheelite Tungsten Project in Nevada, US. The company is currently in the process of acquiring the patented claims covering the former mine in Mineral
County. An initial review of 42 historical drill holes revealed records reporting tungsten trioxide (WO₃) intervals at or above 0.2% in 22 of them. Notable highlights include 7.01 meters at 1.95% WO₃ from 5.55 meters downhole in drill hole 5-DH-02, and 7.59 meters at 1.50% WO₃ from 28.35 meters in drill hole 4-DH-11. Other significant historical intervals include 8.60 meters at 1.10% WO₃ from 14.87 meters in 5-DH-09 and 5.49 meters at 1.54% WO₃ from 8.84 meters in 5-DH-07. Perpetual Resources acknowledges that these are unverified historical results with incomplete sampling, quality-control, and internal dilution records, and the true widths are unknown. These results do not yet establish a mineral resource or demonstrate continuity between holes. Executive Chairman Julian Babarczy stated that this historical archive will be instrumental in guiding modern exploration efforts.
