What's Happening?
NASA has chosen 37 companies to develop tools for a future Moon base under the Announcement of Collaboration Opportunity (ACO) program. This initiative provides selected companies with access to NASA's resources, such as test facilities and engineering
expertise, in exchange for their investment in technology development. The program aims to address challenges like power generation during the lunar night and in-space servicing. Companies will work on technologies including nuclear batteries and laser power beaming, essential for sustaining a lunar base.
