What's Happening?
Miller, a London-based independent specialist (re)insurance broker, has appointed Kim Plant as the head of North American property. Plant joins Miller from Amwins, where he served as a director in its North American property division. His career in insurance began
in 2015 at Lockton, following 13 years of military service in the British Army’s Grenadier Guards. At Miller, Plant will lead the North American property proposition from London and Bermuda, collaborating with Matthew Keeping, the managing director and head of property and casualty.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of Kim Plant is a strategic move by Miller to enhance its presence in the North American property market. Plant's extensive experience and established relationships in the U.S. and Canadian markets are expected to bolster Miller's capabilities and competitive edge. This leadership change reflects the company's commitment to expanding its influence and adapting to the dynamic insurance landscape, which is increasingly focused on addressing emerging risks such as AI, data centers, and autonomous vehicles.
