What's Happening?
Valero Energy Corporation has opened applications for its Mechanical Engineering Intern Program for the summer of 2026. The program aims to provide hands-on experience to highly motivated Mechanical Engineering majors in various U.S. refining locations,
including Wilmington, CA; Meraux, LA; Norco, LA; Ardmore, OK; Memphis, TN; Corpus Christi, TX; Houston, TX; Texas City, TX; Port Arthur, TX; San Antonio, TX; Sunray, TX; and Three Rivers, TX. Interns will engage in challenging projects related to reliability engineering, focusing on troubleshooting equipment, analyzing performance, and implementing improvement programs, as well as project engineering, involving the development and execution of capital expense and maintenance projects. The program requires applicants to be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher, and have graduation dates between August 2026 and May 2028.
