The West Virginia University Health System has announced plans to acquire the Fulton County Medical Center (FCMC) in Pennsylvania. A non-binding letter of intent was signed in April, and the affiliation agreement has now been finalized. WVU Medicine plans to invest
up to $17 million over seven years to modernize FCMC, including the installation of EPIC for electronic medical records integration. The acquisition aims to expand clinical services and improve access to high-quality care in the region. FCMC, a 21-bed critical access hospital, serves several counties in Pennsylvania and is the only hospital in Fulton County.
