The Shenandoah University women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day on Sunday by securing two exhibition victories in a tri-match held in Winchester, Va. The Hornets first swept Montgomery College-Rockville with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, and 25-16.
Key players in this match included Hannah Hylton, who recorded 12 kills, 9 digs, and 3 service aces, and Ashlynn Spence, who contributed 10 kills, 4 service aces, and 5 digs. Later, Shenandoah outlasted Richard Bland in a five-set thriller (25-19, 25-10, 19-25, 18-25, 15-10). Hylton again led with a double-double of 22 kills and 21 digs, while Amanda Schaffer added 40 assists and 10 digs. The team honored its four seniors prior to the match against Richard Bland.
