What's Happening?
U.S. Bank has announced the addition of points transfer capabilities for its Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite cardholders, allowing them to transfer rewards points to three airline partners and one hotel
partner. The new transfer partners include Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles, Qantas Frequent Flyer, and ALL (Accor Live Limitless). Points transfer to airline programs at a 1:1 ratio and to ALL at a 2:1 ratio. This development marks a significant enhancement to the U.S. Bank rewards program, providing cardholders with more flexibility in redeeming their points.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of points transfers by U.S. Bank enhances the value proposition of its Altitude Reserve card, offering cardholders greater flexibility in how they use their rewards. By enabling transfers to major airline alliances and a hotel program, U.S. Bank is aligning its rewards program with industry standards and increasing its competitiveness in the credit card market. This move may also signal potential future enhancements to the bank's rewards offerings, as it seeks to attract and retain customers in a competitive landscape.
