The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World is currently undergoing an exterior refurbishment, with scaffolding now covering the entire front facade of the attraction. Crews began installing scaffolding in early
July, initially above the gift shop, and it has since extended to the very top of the building, including above 'The Hollywood Tower Hotel' sign. Despite the extensive work, the ride continues to operate normally, with gaps in the scaffolding allowing for unobstructed guest views from the ride's windows. Recent work includes repainting parts of the facade above the gift shop, with the two decorative friezes on the center roof receiving a fresh coat of pink paint on their borders. Primer has also been applied to several railings and balconies, and a new coat of pink paint is visible on the wall of one tower behind the scaffolding, with red protective plastic covering openings.
