Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon Reality Elite, a new system-on-chip (SoC) designed to improve the performance of augmented and virtual reality (XR) devices. The chip promises up to 60% higher GPU performance and up to 30% increase in CPU performance compared
to its predecessor, the XR2 Gen 2. The Reality Elite aims to enable longer-lasting, sleeker, and cooler XR devices, with features like better optical see-through and improved power efficiency. It will debut in the Xreal Project Aura, an Android-based XR wearable, and is expected to enhance gaming experiences with capabilities like 4.4K resolution per eye at 90 frames per second.
