Freemelt, a company specializing in advanced 3D printing for metal components, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Proxima Fusion GmbH, a German fusion technology company. This agreement makes Freemelt a member of the Alpha Alliance,
a collaboration focused on developing a stellarator-based fusion demonstrator called Alpha. Freemelt will contribute its expertise in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (E-PBF) technology and tungsten component manufacturing to the project.
