What's Happening?
A new immersive exhibition titled 'Eyes of the World: The Jerry Garcia Experience' is set to open in San Francisco in early 2027 before touring across the United States. The 40,000-square-foot exhibition will feature the Grateful Dead guitarist's music,
visual art, writings, and personal interests across eight immersive rooms. This project, based on a concept Garcia began developing over 30 years ago with author Ken Kesey and producer Cary Granat, aims to explore themes of creativity, community, and individual freedom. The exhibition will also include a section that transports visitors back to 1966 Golden Gate Park and the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. Each visit will conclude with an evening performance from a rotating selection of Jerry Garcia tribute acts. The exhibition is expected to travel to major U.S. cities such as Chicago, Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles.
