The Sioux Metro Growth Alliance (SMGA), a nonprofit economic development organization serving the greater Sioux Falls metro area, has announced the addition of two key team members. Hayley Johnson has been appointed as the new Director of Operations.
Johnson brings a strong background in economics, political science, finance, and communications, and her role will focus on strengthening internal processes, creating efficiencies, and addressing marketing and communications strategy for SMGA. Additionally, Berk Ehrmantraut will join SMGA as an Economic Development Specialist. Ehrmantraut, a native of Beresford, previously served as director of policy and communities for PorchLight, where he was involved in community research and housing studies for several Sioux Metro communities. His immediate priority will be to serve the community of Hartford through a newly finalized economic development management services contract with SMGA.
