The Albany Clubhouse, part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Region, has revealed a newly renovated teen space. This makeover, valued at nearly $20,000, was completed by local Aaron’s team members who assembled and installed new furniture and entertainment.
The upgrades include new couches, tables, giant TVs, bean bag chairs, a “The Fast and the Furious” arcade machine, classic arcade games, pop-a-shot basketball, a PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, XBOX One, and a zero-gravity massage chair. The teen center had been closed for the renovation, and the updated space is expected to be a significant surprise for the teens. This project is the 71st teen center renovation Aaron’s has completed nationwide since 2015, as part of a commitment exceeding $13.5 million to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It marks the second such refresh in New York, following a previous renovation in Buffalo in 2015.
