The New Jersey Devils have traded defenseman Simon Nemec to the Calgary Flames. In exchange, the Devils received conditional first-round picks in the 2027 and 2028 NHL Drafts, a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and defenseman prospect Etienne
Morin. Both conditional picks are top 10 protected. Nemec, who was the No. 2 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, has completed his entry-level contract and is set to become a restricted free agent.
