What's Happening?
Governor Maura Healey has announced over $8 million in funding for energy efficiency and clean energy projects across Massachusetts. The Department of Energy Resources has selected 57 municipalities, including Swampscott, to receive Green Communities
Competitive Grants. Swampscott will receive $125,000 to implement energy conservation measures such as heat pumps and weatherization upgrades in public buildings. The funded projects are expected to save approximately $701,411 annually in energy costs and reduce emissions by 1,634 metric tons each year.
