Raytheon, now operating as RTX, has completed a $50 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Forest, Mississippi. This 17,000-square-foot addition increases the facility's total size to 445,000 square feet. The expansion is designed to boost
the production, testing, and integration of advanced electronic warfare and radar systems. Specifically, it will support the manufacturing of Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) pods for the U.S. Navy and the Australian government. The NGJ-MB is an airborne electronic attack system utilized by the EA-18G Growler, employing digital, software-based technologies and electronically scanned arrays to disrupt enemy air defense and ground communications. This marks the third expansion at the Forest site, bringing Raytheon's total capital investment there to $280 million over the past decade.
