Anton Paar has introduced the Brabender TwinLab B-TSE-S 30/40, a new pilot-scale extrusion system designed to bring laboratory-grade process understanding to larger production scales. This twin-screw extruder, capable of processing up to 100 kg/h, allows
users to validate process parameters and produce significant quantities under realistic conditions. The system features a compact design with an integrated drive, making it suitable for tight pilot environments without sacrificing performance. It operates with co-rotating twin screws driven by 39 kW, reaching speeds up to 1,200 rpm and handling conditions up to 450 °C and 300 bar. The extruder's clamshell barrel design facilitates easy access for cleaning and maintenance, while its detachable liner inserts allow for quick changes to accommodate different materials, minimizing cross-contamination. The TwinLab B-TSE-S 30/40 also includes a unique engineering interface for flexible sensor and device configuration, supported by MetaBridge software for comprehensive process visibility and control.
