Robinhood has launched its new Earn product, built on Morpho's open onchain credit network. This strategic decision places a decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure behind one of the most recognized retail investing brands in the United States. Instead
of developing its own proprietary lending system, Robinhood opted to integrate with Morpho, a permissionless network where lenders and borrowers compete for capital. Paul Frambot, CEO and co-founder of Morpho, stated that this move signals the growing value of open infrastructure in the financial sector. The Earn product allows users to deposit funds into a personal noncustodial wallet, which then flows into a Morpho Vault. This vault allocates capital across chosen credit markets on Morpho, with interest flowing back to Earn users as yield. The process is designed for real-time operation, enabling users to withdraw funds without lock-up periods or delays.
