What's Happening?
The fourth annual Pearly Awards, hosted by Majority Greek Magazine, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia. This event aims to recognize members of historically Black fraternities and sororities, collectively
known as the Divine Nine, for their leadership, service, and achievements. The ceremony returns to Atlanta after two consecutive sold-out years, bringing together HBCU alumni, entrepreneurs, educators, corporate professionals, nonprofit executives, civic leaders, and community influencers. The Pearly Awards originated as an Atlanta-based event and has since expanded into a national platform to highlight the impactful work of Divine Nine members.
Why It's Important?

This initiative is vital for inspiring future generations by showcasing successful individuals who share similar backgrounds. Furthermore, the event fosters networking and professional development by connecting various stakeholders, including professionals, entrepreneurs, and businesses, thereby creating new opportunities and relationships within the community. The focus on scholarships and workforce opportunities for high school seniors also directly contributes to educational and economic advancement.
What's Next?
The 2026 Pearly Awards will continue its mission by honoring individuals across three categories: the Pearl Awards for sustained excellence (20+ years), the Blazing Pearl Awards for significant current impact, and the Of The Year Awards, which are people's-choice recognitions. Beyond the awards ceremony, the event will support graduating high school seniors pursuing careers in business, marketing, skilled trades, and creative fields through scholarships and workforce opportunities. The Pearly Marketplace will also be featured, connecting vendors and Black-owned businesses with attendees to build lasting relationships. Community members, corporations, and alumni networks are invited to participate through attendance, sponsorship, partnership, vending, and advertising, with various sponsorship levels available.
