What's Happening?
Equity Residential has announced the completion of The Standard Residences in Midtown Miami, marking the brand's first standalone residential project globally. Developed by Rosso Development in collaboration with Hyatt and Midtown Development, the 12-story
building features 228 residences and a variety of social and wellness amenities. These include a fitness center, yoga studios, co-working spaces, and culinary destinations. The project is designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Urban Robot, and it aims to blend culture, social connection, and style with world-class design and service. The building also includes a rooftop with a 60-foot pool and a restaurant by the Juvia Group, enhancing the lifestyle experience for residents.
Why It's Important?
The completion of The Standard Residences represents a significant milestone in the development of Midtown Miami, a vibrant and walkable neighborhood. This project not only introduces a new residential option but also contributes to the area's urban energy and cultural landscape. By offering a range of amenities and social spaces, the development is likely to attract residents seeking a lifestyle-oriented living environment. Additionally, the involvement of major partners like Hyatt underscores the project's potential to set a new standard for residential living in Miami, potentially influencing future developments in the region.
What's Next?
With The Standard Residences nearly sold out, the focus will likely shift to the broader development plans for Midtown Miami. This includes the recently announced Midtown Park, a $2 billion mixed-use community that aims to connect Midtown with neighboring areas through public green spaces and pedestrian pathways. As the area continues to evolve, further residential and commercial projects are expected to enhance its appeal as a destination for both living and leisure.
