What's Happening?
Nolan's on Canandaigua Lake and Heron Hill Winery have partnered to support the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association through the Savor the Flavor program. From now until September 30, a portion of sales from a limited-edition Heron Hill Chardonnay will
be donated to the association. The initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for the conservation of Canandaigua Lake, a vital natural resource in the Finger Lakes region. The Watershed Association engages in water quality monitoring and promotes sustainable practices to protect the lake.
Why It's Important?
This partnership highlights the role of local businesses in environmental conservation efforts. By supporting the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association, Nolan's and Heron Hill Winery are contributing to the preservation of a critical water resource that supports recreation, drinking water, and biodiversity. The initiative also underscores the importance of community involvement in environmental stewardship, demonstrating how businesses can leverage their platforms to promote sustainability and engage customers in conservation efforts.
What's Next?
The success of the Savor the Flavor program could inspire similar initiatives in other regions, encouraging more businesses to participate in environmental conservation. The funds raised will support ongoing efforts to monitor and improve water quality in Canandaigua Lake. The Watershed Association will continue to engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and advocate for policies that protect the lake. The partnership may also lead to increased public awareness and participation in conservation activities.
