Critical One Energy has reported favorable laboratory results from a preliminary metallurgical study conducted on samples from its Howells Lake Antimony-Gold Project in north-western Ontario, Canada. The study, carried out by Blue Coast Research, revealed
that antimony in the samples is primarily present in the mineral stibnite, with liberation rates between 92.8% and 99.1%. This high level of liberation suggests that the antimony minerals are largely separated from other mineral phases, making them suitable for concentration by flotation. The study also found no presence of arsenic, mercury, or other harmful materials, which often complicate processing. The findings are expected to guide the design of the next phase of metallurgical activities, focusing on flotation performance, antimony recovery, and mineral variability across the project area.
