Cisco, in collaboration with NVIDIA, has launched the Cisco AI POD for Splunk, an architecture designed to bring Splunk AI capabilities to on-premises, private cloud, and air-gapped environments. This initiative, announced at Splunk .conf in Denver, aims
to address the needs of Splunk Enterprise customers who require AI deployment within their own infrastructure due to security, data sovereignty, and data-location constraints. The new offering is a configuration within the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, combining Cisco infrastructure, NVIDIA accelerated computing, new AI runtime software, and a Kubernetes-based architecture. This setup has been pre-validated and optimized for Splunk AI workloads. Additionally, Splunk is expanding its Agent Observability, now available through Splunk Observability Cloud and Cisco Cloud Control, which evaluates agent and model behavior and monitors AI stack performance. A new Tokenomics solution has also been introduced to track and attribute AI token expenditure in real-time across agents and coding tools, with the ability to forecast consumption patterns.
