What's Happening?
Cancer Cell Diagnostics (CCDx) has announced the commercial launch of its CellSight™ DNA comprehensive genomic profiling test. This innovative test utilizes intact circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from a standard blood draw, rather than the traditional
cell-free circulating tumor DNA fragments. The CellSight™ platform, developed by CCDx, aims to provide a more comprehensive profile of tumor biology by analyzing DNA directly from whole cells. This approach allows for the detection of a wide range of genomic alterations, including single nucleotide variants, insertions, deletions, copy number variations, microsatellite instability (MSI) status, and tumor mutational burden (TMB). The test is performed in CCDx's CLIA-certified laboratory in Jupiter, Florida, and is designed to offer oncologists a more complete molecular understanding of each patient's cancer.
