What's Happening?
Globex Mining's partner, Antimony Resources, has reported significant gold findings at the Bald Hill antimony project in New Brunswick, Canada. The company has achieved gold grades averaging 1.14 grams per tonne over a 2.56-meter span from drilling activities.
The exploration involved evaluating gold assays from approximately 190 intersections across more than 45 drill holes in the Main zone. A notable high-grade intersection of 1.88 grams per tonne over 4.95 meters was also recorded. Antimony Resources utilized artificial intelligence to analyze the existing assay database, revealing a strong correlation between high antimony and gold grades. The Main zone, which remains open to the north and south, appears to extend into the Central zone, where surface sampling has identified high-grade stibnite and gold mineralization. The company is expanding its drilling efforts to the northwest and southeast of the Main zone and has commenced drilling in the Central zone.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of gold at the Bald Hill project is significant for both Globex Mining and Antimony Resources, as it enhances the potential value of the project. The correlation between antimony and gold grades could lead to more efficient mining strategies, potentially increasing profitability. This development could attract further investment and interest in the project, boosting the companies' market positions. Additionally, the use of artificial intelligence in analyzing assay data represents a modern approach to mineral exploration, potentially setting a precedent for future projects. The findings could also have broader implications for the mining industry, particularly in terms of integrating technology to optimize resource extraction.
What's Next?
Antimony Resources plans to continue its exploration efforts by expanding drilling activities in the Main and Central zones. The company has already completed over 2,000 meters of drilling in the Central zone, with assay results expected in the coming weeks. Globex Mining intends to explore areas outside the Main zone across the 3,700-hectare property for the remainder of 2026. The next phase of exploration will include an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey, soil sampling, geological mapping, trenching, and additional drilling as necessary. These efforts aim to further delineate the extent of gold and antimony mineralization and assess the project's full potential.
