Google Cloud has officially opened its Singapore Engineering Center (SEC), establishing it as the company's primary product development hub in Southeast Asia. This new center aims to integrate specialized software engineers across various domains, including
AI, AI Infrastructure, Data, Compute, Machine Learning, Core Networking, and Storage. The SEC's mission is to collaborate directly with enterprises to transform foundational technical breakthroughs into production-ready cloud systems specifically tailored for Singaporean businesses with global aspirations. Unlike traditional regional support outposts, the SEC will develop solutions in Singapore for worldwide deployment, creating a unique model in enterprise technology. This initiative is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and is designed to strengthen Singapore's deep tech and national AI ecosystem.
