ATC Manufacturing Inc., operating as Advanced Thermoplastic Composites Inc. in Post Falls, is undertaking a significant expansion of its headquarters and manufacturing facility. The project will nearly double the existing 67,000-square-foot space with
an additional 57,600 square feet. This expansion is driven by increasing demand from both commercial and defense customers for lightweight, durable composite aerospace structures made from thermoplastic composite materials. The company broke ground in August and anticipates completing construction by summer 2027. The construction is valued at $10 million, with an additional $1 million allocated for electrical work. The new space will primarily be dedicated to manufacturing, with a mezzanine level for offices and main floor areas for customer intake, meetings, and a break room. To support this increased capacity, ATC Manufacturing plans to hire dozens of new engineers and technicians, effectively doubling its current workforce of 90 employees.
