Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has significantly bolstered its litigation capabilities by hiring a three-partner mass torts and products liability team from Paul Weiss. The team is led by Kimberly Branscome, who previously headed Paul Weiss's mass torts and products liability practice
and will now co-chair the same practice at Gibson Dunn from Los Angeles. She is joined by partners Yahonnes Cleary and Jonathan Tam. This move follows other high-profile additions to Gibson Dunn's litigation arm, including a team from Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz in July and another from Sullivan & Cromwell in April. Branscome brings extensive experience as lead trial counsel in major mass tort cases, having represented corporations such as Johnson & Johnson in talc powder litigation, General Motors in ignition switch cases, and 3M in earplug product liability litigation. The firm aims to combine its existing appellate and pretrial expertise with the new team's first-chair trial experience.
