A group of young athletes from Naperville, known as the Naperville Ninjas, will represent Team USA at the 2026 Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) World Championships in Limerick, Ireland. The event, scheduled from August 6-9, will feature nearly 5,000 athletes from 70
countries. The team includes Jeremy Lauff, Claire Mattern, Henry Mihajlovic, Savannah Serio, and Anthony Battaglia, who have been selected based on their impressive performances in ninja competitions across the U.S. These athletes, aged 11 to 17, have trained extensively in ninja skills, which they will apply in various races, including the 100 and 400 meters, and relays. The sport of ninja has gained popularity following the success of the TV show 'American Ninja Warrior'.
