Riot Platforms, Inc., a leader in digital infrastructure and bitcoin mining, has announced a significant 20-year data center lease agreement with a leading frontier AI lab. This lease, located at Riot's Rockdale campus, involves 191 megawatts (MW) of
critical IT capacity and is expected to generate approximately $9.1 billion in total contract revenue over its initial term. The agreement includes two five-year extension options, potentially increasing the contract value to $16.1 billion. This development follows Riot's previous lease with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), bringing the total contracted capacity to 241 MW. Riot's second quarter financial results showed a 14% year-over-year revenue increase to $174.2 million, with data center revenue contributing $23.2 million. The company also reported the production of 1,587 bitcoins during the quarter.
