Bradley Jaden has been announced as a new cast member for the upcoming Broadway musical 'Wanted.' The musical, previously titled 'Gun & Powder,' is scheduled to begin previews on October 15 and officially open on November 8 at the James Earl Jones Theatre.
Jaden will be making his Broadway debut in the role of Jesse. He joins a cast that includes Solea Pfeiffer as Mary Clarke, Liisi LaFontaine as Martha Clarke, Luke James as Elijah, and Ledisi as Tallulah Clarke. Aurelia Williams and Awa Sal Secka will reprise their roles as Sissy and Flo, respectively, from earlier runs of the musical. The production is directed by Obie winner and Tony nominee Stevie Walker-Webb, with choreography by Chelsey Arce. The musical tells the true story of Black twin sisters, Mary and Martha Clarke, who passed as white to evade capture while on the run. The book and lyrics are by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Sisters Clarke, with music by Ross Baum.
