Venezianico has launched the Nereide Opale Blu, a limited-edition timepiece featuring a lab-grown blue opal dial. This new release is a follow-up to their 2025 Nereide Opale, which introduced their first opal dial. The blue opal material, produced by
the Japanese brand Kyocera, is grown to be blue, meaning the color is an inherent property of the material itself, not a surface treatment. The dials are sliced to 0.4mm thick from a block of artificial opal, ensuring each piece is unique. The watch maintains the familiar 42mm x 12.5mm stainless steel case of the Nereide series, offering 200m water resistance and a tungsten insert bezel for scratch resistance. It is powered by a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, customized with a rhodium-plated Venezianico rotor, visible through an exhibition caseback. The Nereide Opale Blu is priced at approximately £1,150 (around $1,570 USD) and is limited to 600 pieces, with sales beginning on August 25th.
