Nio Inc, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced a significant milestone by surpassing 120 million cumulative battery swap services. This achievement coincides with the launch of its 4,000th battery swap station in China, marking the first
fifth-generation station. The new station, located in Quanzhou, Fujian province, features an updated architecture that accommodates a wider range of vehicle wheelbases, allowing models like the flagship SUV ES9 and the compact Firefly EV to utilize the same swap mechanism. This development is part of Nio's strategy to expand its swap network, which now includes 4,006 stations across China. The company has also reported that its users have consumed a cumulative 6.35 billion kWh through swaps, saving significant time and costs compared to traditional charging and gasoline vehicles.
