McKinsey & Company, a global strategy and management consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Tarek El Sayed as its new Managing Partner for the Middle East. Based in Riyadh, El Sayed will be responsible for leading the firm's strategic direction
and operations across the region, overseeing teams in seven cities: Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait City, Manama, and Riyadh. He will also supervise McKinsey's regional labels, including QuantumBlack, McKinsey Digital, McKinsey Design, McKinsey Implementation, and Leap by McKinsey. El Sayed has been with McKinsey & Company since 2015, following a decade with Booz & Company in the Middle East. He succeeds Hasan Muzaffar, who served as Managing Partner for nearly three years. McKinsey & Company has maintained a presence in the Middle East since 1957, establishing its first permanent office in Dubai in 1999.
