Del Monte Corp. has entered into a partnership with Treatt to convert fruit pieces that would otherwise be discarded into valuable beverage ingredients. This collaboration involves using pineapple, watermelon, mango, and cantaloupe pieces from Del Monte that are
not utilized in their fresh-cut products. Treatt, known for developing extracts and ingredients for the flavor and fragrance industries, will transform these fruit pieces into four distinct ingredient extracts. These extracts are designed to enhance beverage formulations by providing flavor and supporting clean label positioning. Deema Anani, Chief Commercial Officer of the Specialty Ingredients Division at Del Monte, emphasized the company's commitment to maximizing the value of every fruit they grow and source.
