Wilbur Allen, a Temple University alumnus who graduated in 2006 with a bachelor of business administration in international business and marketing, is currently serving his second season as the Director of Basketball Administration at the University of Alabama
at Birmingham (UAB). Allen played a significant role in the Temple Owls' basketball program, helping them achieve four NIT appearances under the guidance of legendary coach John Chaney. His career trajectory includes a diverse range of coaching and administrative roles. Before joining UAB, Allen was the Director of College Scouting for Babcock Hoops, a sports media company. He also held positions as an assistant coach at Appalachian State and as coordinator of player development at Ole Miss, where he also served as an interim assistant coach for 12 games. Earlier in his career, Allen was the head coach at the NBA YAO School in Beijing City, China, and an associate head coach at the renowned Oak Hill Academy, where he contributed to a perfect 44-0 season and a national championship in 2011-12.
