Generative Bionics has introduced Gene.01, a humanoid robot designed for industrial applications, at the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event. This robot, developed in just six months, features full-body tactile sensing and is powered by a proprietary physical
AI system. The AI integrates the robot's body, mechanics, and intelligence, allowing it to better interpret and respond to the physical world. Gene.01 is designed to prioritize human-robot collaboration, featuring distributed tactile skin that can detect touch, temperature, proximity, and force. This capability enhances safety and natural interaction by allowing the robot to anticipate human presence and respond accordingly. The platform is scalable and customizable, tailored to meet specific industrial needs, and is being adapted for its first use case in shipyard operations through a collaboration with Fincantieri.
