Austin Dufault, a former University of Colorado basketball player and Pac-12 champion, has joined the Denver Nuggets coaching staff. He will serve as an assistant coach and vice president of player development
under head coach David Adelman. Dufault previously spent three seasons as the director of player development for the Chicago Bulls under Billy Donovan and was retained by new Bulls head coach Tiago Splitter before accepting the position with the Nuggets. Dufault was a four-year starter for the University of Colorado from 2008 to 2012, where he became the 19th player in program history to achieve over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. His senior year was particularly notable, averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per night, culminating in a Pac-12 title run. Before his coaching career, Dufault played professionally for six seasons across various international leagues in the Czech Republic, North Macedonia, France, Finland, Hungary, and Japan.
