Malaysia has significantly expanded its presence in the global Michelin Keys Selection, adding five new hotels to its prestigious list for 2026. This brings the total number of Michelin Key properties in the country to nine. The newly recognized hotels,
all awarded with One Key, are located across Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, and Langkawi. Among the new additions are Cheong Fatt Tze – The Qing Suites and Soori Penang in George Town, marking Penang's first entries into the selection. Johor now boasts the Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast, while Langkawi adds The Datai Langkawi as its second Michelin Key property. Park Hyatt KL also joins the list, becoming the fourth hotel in the capital city to receive a One Key distinction. These new recognitions follow the initial inclusion of four Malaysian hotels last year, with Four Seasons Resort Langkawi being the sole property to achieve a Two Keys distinction to date.
