Education Academy Charter School. Records obtained by The Morning Call indicate that the data center could consume between 50,000 and 100,000 gallons of water per day. The application was submitted on August 5, the same day the City Council approved stricter requirements for data center construction. J.G. Petrucci had previously received approval in 2022 for a 'flex center warehouse' on the property, but those plans stalled due to market conditions. The Lehigh County Authority has confirmed its system's capacity to meet the projected water demand, though engineers must still determine specific pipe sizes and water pressure. Developers also plan to build an electrical substation, relocate storm and sanitary pipes, and construct a stormwater management basin. Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2027 and conclude by winter 2027.
