Mercedes has introduced the 2027 AMG GT53 4-Door EV, a new electric vehicle that offers 536 horsepower and is expected to be priced lower than its more powerful counterparts, the GT63 and GT55. The GT53 features a dual-motor setup, with one motor on each
axle, and utilizes Mercedes' 800-volt architecture. This allows for rapid charging, adding approximately 280 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a DC fast-charging station. The total estimated range is around 423 miles. The vehicle is designed to simulate the sound of a turbocharged inline-six engine, despite being fully electric, using 16 microphones to capture and playback the engine sound. The GT53 is positioned as a more accessible entry into the AMG GT lineup, offering a balance of performance and affordability.
