What's Happening?
The STEP (Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Pathways) program, run by Access to Thrive, has celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of entrepreneurs with disabilities in El Centro. The program aims to empower individuals with disabilities by providing
them with the skills and resources needed to start their own businesses. Participants received training in business planning, computer literacy, and the use of adaptive technologies. The program also offered psychological support and guidance on navigating federal work incentives, ensuring that entrepreneurial success does not jeopardize vital benefits.
