Velorex, a Ferrari SUPER GT team, has completed the transition of its 296 GT3 to Evo specification ahead of the Fuji 300km race. This change comes after a three-month break since the last Fuji race, which was extended due to the cancellation of the Sepang
round. The team, managed by Team LeMans, had previously competed in the season's opening rounds with the original car specification, finishing ninth and 23rd in the GT300 class. The upgrade to Evo spec is expected to enhance Velorex's competitive prospects, particularly with a revised Balance of Performance (BoP) that increases turbo boost pressure and reduces the minimum rear wing angle. Team advisor Nagataka Tezuka noted that these changes align the BoP more closely with SRO standards, potentially improving the car's performance on straights.
