Mercor, in partnership with a leading AI lab, is actively recruiting experienced musicians to serve as Music & Lyrics Experts. These experts will be responsible for evaluating generative music AI models. The role involves assessing AI-generated music across
various genres and rating it against detailed quality standards. Key responsibilities include comparing AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities, rating lyrics based on quality, creativity, adherence to prompts, and originality, and evaluating the naturalness of lyrics, including word choice, slang, and regional expressions. The positions are offered as hourly contracts, with compensation ranging from $11 to $30 per hour, and are remote. Applicants are required to have native or near-native proficiency in Indonesian and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English. Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist with knowledge of the Indonesian music scene is also a prerequisite. Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition, as well as credited or published songwriting work, are considered advantageous.
